Nursing

Without a valid degree or diploma, you can only become a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) or a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).  Your duties include bedside care, taking patient samples, etc.  The duties of a Registered Nurse (RN) are more technical and can include critical or emergency care, rehabilitation or radiologic duties, among many others. This requires a bachelors degree and because the duties are more advanced, the average RN can demand a higher salary.  If you want to make more still, you are going to need to become an Advanced Practice Nurse, which typically requires a Masters degree.
