Law is the foundation that society is built upon.  As a Legal Studies student, it will one day be your duty to maintain that foundation and punish those who try to corrupt it.  And this is not always done in the courtroom.  Legal and Paralegal Studies majors can also put their knowledge to use protecting children, the environment, historic sites, human rights and dignity. 
To do well in a legal setting, you must have a firm understanding of ethics, organization and the legal process.  You will learn how to do legal research, which is very important; precedent is the foundation of trial law.  You will also learn to be an effective orator and a quick thinker. 
If you can handle the intense education and hour a day reading, the payoff you receive, in the bank and in self-esteem, will be well worth it.
