Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts are perfect for anyone that loves to cook. However, the Culinary Arts is a much broader field of study than just that. You will also learn the business aspect of food; logistics and how to run a successful restaurant. You will learn to master aesthetic appeal, both in the presentation of your food, and the design of your restaurant. It is important that when you graduate, you know how to appeal to each of the five senses.
Your education will require you to spend dozens of hours each week in a kitchen, often very early in the morning, to endure the scathing criticisms of your instructors. Outside of the kitchen you will still have to do all your reading, researching and homework. If you can handle the heat of the kitchen, the payoff will be huge. Especially considering that in the restaurant industry, what determines how much you get paid is the quality of your product.
