Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice deals with the causes of crime, the workings of the court system, and the laws of contemporary society.  In addition to a liberal arts curriculum that includes courses in sociology, psychology, and political science, students will learn how to work as a group, critically analyze problems, and create possible solutions, among other skills that will make them more valuable in the work force.
Upon graduation, the student is ready to work in law enforcement on the local, state or federal level, or in private security.  Another option is for the graduate to use his or her intimate knowledge of the law and court procedure as a gateway to a legal career.  Knowing the ins and outs of the criminal justice system will be integral in either defending or prosecuting those accused of crimes.
