Leadership

Leadership skills are important in every profession, not just business.  Leadership majors learn new and effective leadership practices to prepare them for future careers managing teams of employees.  They learn to be effective decision makers and conflict resolution experts.

A leader in any profession is charged in ensuring the work force stays motivated in an effort to keep the organization competitive.  If the leader cannot do that, he or she is expendable.  This degree program is best suited for natural leaders and communicators, but, with time, these skills can be taught.  Leadership training programs are designed to ingrain those skills in the students personality.

An undergraduate degree in Leadership is ideal for project managers or for people who want to take charge of a group.  To become a leader at a higher level than that, a manager or a director, an MBA is probably needed.
