Health Services is a general degree designed for those interested in pursing a career in medicine.  It instructs the student in general knowledge about health care and skills that will be needed for professionals in the health care industry, like patient care.  

General courses on a Health Services curriculum will includa Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Accounting, Public Health, Sociology, and Health Policy.  As the student approaches completion of the degree, he or she can focus on a more specific area of medicine in preparation for a cereer of a higher degree.  These areas of concentration can range from nursing to health care administration.
