Business Administration

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is the standard business education.  The curriculum does not focus on any one specific area of business, although some programs allow the student to pick an area of concentration.  Rather the primary function is to educate the student in general business concepts and the functions that keep a business running smoothly.

This kind of education is perfect forsomeone who knows he or she wants to pursue a career in business, but in not sure in what capacity.  A general business degree affords the student the opportunity to sample the many areas of business and find out which area sparks an interest for him  or her.

Because the degree is so general, however, a student should consider a more focussed MBA program, or risk being overlooked as a jack-of-all-trades with no real expertise.
