Grand Canyon University is a private, accredited Christian University located in Phoenix, Arizona.  In 2004, GCU became the first for-profit Christian University in the United States.  It offers courses both on-campus and online to accommodate working professionals and undergraduates alike.

The campus at Grand Canyon University began a drastic, $125 million renovation in 2007.  The projects include improved athletic facilities and more modern classrooms.  When complete, the campus will boast a 120-thousand-square-foot Nursing and Health Science Building, a 40-thousand-squre-foot Digital Media Studios building, an aquatic center, a recreational pool, and "The Rock," a 29-thousand-square-foot teen center for music and sports created in conjunction with Phoenix-based rocker Alice Cooper.  Many of these new amenities will be open to the public.    

GCU has many online Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.  It offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Accounting, BusinessAdministration and Marketing, an MBA, and many liberal arts and education courses online. The University was ranked the #6 Online University by the Online Education Database.
